veronica is so toxic, her passive-agressiveness is gross – shes actually painful to watch how she speaks to elliot is awful but its the tone and the facial expressions – her words would be innocent on paper but her delivery and the constant dripping condescencion is really getting on my nerves. Everything she says is a game of one-upmanship and ‘im better than you’ vicious barbs digging at him and provoking him so she can attempt to take moral high ground. its abuse. and its disgusting.
No wonder Carina was siding with Lauren. She’s also a mean girl and judgy.
And seemingly jealous of Awhina, as she doesn’t seem to comprehend that twins are not the same person. She acted as though awhina was coming in to seduce her husband. Paul totally knew what he was doing. That stupid smarmy look on his face while he was reading the letter to awhina. There was no reason to say all that unless he’s trying to start drama OR maybe he thought awhina would get so upset she’d jump into bed with him- revenge sex? Who knows. In that case, maybe Corina’s reaction was justified because she knows deep down he’s a slimeball

Veronica ALWAYS tries to couch her condescending comments as mere “observations”. That she doesn’t own her hostility is a huge part of her issue. I think her and Elliott is, to some extent, a situation where she sees Elliott as presenting as a certain thing (objectively very good-looking, financially successful, a bit of an ego) and she has decided that SHE has been tasked with BURSTING any semblance of (to be fair, shallow) confidence he has. It’s the constant CONSTANT negging that she seems to think is “keeping him humble and in check”.
The problem is that Veronica CAME IN from jump with that attitude and it’s become off-putting to the point that (at least according to the edit – which is a factor) the audience now COMPLETELY has sympathy for Elliott. Did HE pay someone off in production, is SHE just that smug and condescending, or is it a combo of both?🤔
This “reveal your problems to another spouse” exercise…in the name of “honesty” is ALREADY a very transparent trap. This is OBVIOUS.
But Paul literally using Awhina’s sister as a very specific example of his feelings about Carina’s “snobby judgmental” nature was a big WTF? Why would you EVER reveal your partner’s private thoughts about someone else’s sister? And under the guise of how, because you’re SUCH a nice guy, comments like that give you the “ick” but you JUST have to share them with the person it will hurt the most. Throwing his “wife” under the bus AND creating unnecessary conflict between the two women. Yeah…nice guy. 😒

I am rolling on the floor laughing at Corina right now… she has become the new lauren making comments about awhinas sister ….. being jealous…. girl the partner swap is not like they are forced to sleep with each other like she slept on the couch ….. pulling in religious backgrounds I mean if you are going to say you are a perfect catholic you would not have slept w rappers. DISCLAIMER: I am not shaming her one bit for having a past at alllllll I am just saying that if you are using that as an excuse you have to know what being catholic entails and if you hold it to the upmost degree you would not even think to make that comparison …. also DISCLAIMER I DO NOT SUPPORT PAUL AT ALLLLLLLLLLLL but I just think production is playing w us that’s all ….. who knows what goes on behind the scenes … also open to new opinions because this show is a wildcard ahahaha

Only 16 mins into the epidsode. Since when does the couples swap mean they have to sleep in the same bed? Why are some of them assuming that? I could do the switch over…but sure as hell wouldn’t be sharing the bed with someone else’s spouse.
I don’t think it’s that big of a deal to share a bed…..It’s not like they are feeling on each other. It’s sleep.
I disagree. Some people sleep deeper than others, and are unaware of body movement, etc. I can just imagine someone dreaming that they are with their actual partner, and reaching out or making physical contact with the temporary partner. Better safe than sorry. IMO
For Paul to tell Awhina ” I knew that was going to upset you”, tells me he planned to sabotage his relationship with Carina. Not that Carina’s comment about Awhina’s sister is justified, because it sure as hell is NOT. How dare she comment that about someone she does not even know. Her inner Lauren has emerged. But there was nothing to be gained by Paul sharing that detailed information with Awhina. If he felt that Carina’s comments ‘here and there’ are giving him the ‘ick’, then he should have called Carina to task over it…and tell her straight up, that he doesn’t like what she is saying or how it is making him feel. Plain and simple. Paul bringing up jealousy as a red flag…. boy is that the pot calling the kettle black. Does he not recall his blatant caveman jealousy over Carina’s PAST? The fact that he held his rage, till they were back in their own room, makes it even more concerning, to me. That could have had a much more disasterous outcome. I don’t think his anger/rage would have been swept under the rug, if he had not damaged property, that couldn’t be covered up. Just my opinion (having been in on the receiving end of dv) I no longer root for Carina and Paul. Another “just my opinion”… none of the swapped ‘couples’ should have been sharing a bed. PERIOD.
